The Spa
Wellbeing, returned to its essence.
Wellness at Sananda is a quiet thing. No programme to follow, no schedule to keep. Just skilled hands, open air, and the kind of stillness that the body remembers how to find — when given permission.
Treatments draw on traditional Balinese technique, delivered by experienced therapists who work with care and precision. Sessions take place in open air, surrounded by the garden.
The results are felt. The experience, unhurried.
Melukat
A complete and deeply personal purification ceremony.
Melukat is an ancient Balinese purification ritual, rooted in Hindu tradition and practiced for centuries as a way of cleansing the body, mind, and spirit through water, prayer, and intention.
It has long been performed before important moments, transitions, or simply as a way of returning to balance.
At our Tirta Pool, Melukat is offered in its traditional form, guided by a local Balinese Hindu priest and carried out with respect from beginning to end.
The ceremony unfolds slowly, over approximately two hours.
It begins with the preparation of offerings, followed by prayers at the temple, and culminates in the water purification itself.
Dressed in traditional ceremonial attire provided by Sananda, guests are gently guided through each step. Under the flow of multiple water spouts, the ritual reaches its core — a sequence of quiet moments where water, prayer, and stillness come together.
Nothing is rushed.
Nothing is simplified.
This is a private ceremony, offered individually or in small groups, and always conducted with authenticity and respect for tradition.
You are not asked to perform.
You are not asked to believe.
Only to be present.
For many guests, it becomes the most remembered moment of their stay — not because it is dramatic, but because it is real.
The Pavillion
A place to gather, eat well, and stay a little longer than planned.
The Pavilion is an open space beside the pool where meals, conversations, and evenings take shape naturally. It was not designed to look like a restaurant. It was designed to feel like the best table you have ever sat at.
Breakfast is exceptional — and intentionally so. Fresh juices pressed from fruit grown on site. Eggs from our own coop. Seasonal ingredients chosen for flavour, not shelf life.
No buffet. Nothing processed. No shortcuts.
Every meal is prepared around the guest — Balinese dishes, international flavours, vegetarian or vegan — discussed together, made to order.
Evenings often gather around the barbecue. Food cooked slowly, shared plates, long conversations. Cocktails by the pool, mixed without hurry.
Those who wish are welcome to cook alongside us — to share techniques, flavours, and time.
Food that feeds the body. A table worth returning to.
A return to balance, guided by tradition and care.
Wellness at Sananda is not a programme. It is a lived experience — shaped by ritual, touch, nature, and the particular calm that comes from being truly cared for.
